Mr Mounir Hakimi
Mr Mounir Hakimi is a fellowship-trained Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon who consults for Transform Medical at The Highfield Hospital in Rochdale, Manchester. He specialises in complex hip and knee surgery, with particular expertise in both primary and revision joint replacement procedures.
Mr Hakimi obtained his Medical Degree in 2001 and became a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2008. He completed his higher surgical training in the North West of England, gaining broad experience across high-volume orthopaedic centres, including Wrightington Hospital. In 2016, he achieved the Intercollegiate Fellowship in Trauma and Orthopaedics and was awarded his Certificate of Completion of Surgical Training in 2017.
In 2018, Mr Hakimi was appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust. He subsequently undertook a specialist Hip and Knee Arthroplasty Fellowship at Chapel Allerton Hospital in Leeds, further developing his expertise in complex primary and revision lower limb arthroplasty.
In addition to his clinical practice, Mr Hakimi is actively involved in surgical education and training. He serves as faculty on national hip and knee arthroplasty courses and holds the role of Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Salford. Alongside his professional commitments, he contributes to humanitarian missions, delivering surgical care and training in resource-limited and disaster-affected regions.
